Metamorphosis is not always a beautiful thing. A great number of people hide their feelings behind an outer shell, put there for all the world to see. Beneath it are grief, shame, doubt, frustration, fear, envy, depression, and sadness. This piece is made of layers of cotton, cut and peeled away to reveal the color below. The fabric is shredded along the edges to represent our fragile existence. |
