“Even if my eyes cannot see you anymore, my heart always will.” I came across this quote when reading Iter Palaestinum, a collection of notes written by Swedish botanist and physician Frederik Hasselquist (1722–1752) as he traveled through Armenia. His words left such a strong impression on me, that after my own visit to Armenia, they became the inspiration for the piece.
