My designs in the 80s required learning to dye fabric due to the limited and trendy palette of commercial fabrics available. This quilt interprets a passage in Mozart’s Requiem, when the trumpets of the Gloria shine through the measured progressions of the Lacrimosa.

Cotton, fiber reactive dyes
Hand dyed, machine pieced, hand quilted
